Preferred Term:
fibroblast growth factor receptor 1
Definition:
A fibroblast growth factor receptor with specificity for fibroblast growth factors; heparin sulfate proteoglycan; and neuronal cell adhesion molecules. Several variants of the receptor exist due to multiple alternative splicing of its mRNA. Fibroblast growth factor receptor 1 is a tyrosine kinase that transmits signals through the MAP kinase signaling system.
