xeric regimes
Definition:
The xeric moisture regime has very limited plant available water due to long periods of drought. The soil is usually moist for less than 45 consecutive days during the growing season. This regime is typical in areas of Mediterranean climates, where winters are moist and cool and summers are warm and dry.
