Enfermedad aguda, a menudo fatal, causada por la ingestión de leche, lácteos o carne de reses u ovejas que tienen la enfermedad conocida como temblor. Produce debilidad, anorexia, vómito, estreñimiento y, en ocasiones, temblores musculares. Es causada por la intoxicación con serpentaria blanca (Eupatorium rugosum) e Isocoma pluriflora (Haplopappus heterophyllus).
